JFrame decorations are usually provided by the system but the Metal LookAndFeel can provide frame decorations. This only applies to the outer most frame, inner frames can be decorated with the LAF. I'm not sure why this is. So I think my memory of having primary JFrames decorated with the Windows LAF are faulty. Anyway, thanks for looking. -- Knute Johnson
