JLabels with HTML text are behaving strangely.

They sporadically turn into tall stacks of phrases just a few words
long, even though there is plenty of space to stretch out
horizontally.

The GridBag gives them 0 ability to grow into excess space.

Anyone ever seen this behaviour? I have never seen it before.
