My program "Vectorine"'s coming along nicely now, and I think I've got all
the main parts worked out. Thanks very much to all of you. But all the
same, I'd like to get a proper book about Java for next time ("Java in Easy
Steps" is good, but it doesn't say much about the underlying rules like
variable scope, and anyway it's borrowed from the library). I know it's all
on Sun's website in theory, but I never can concentrate on anything long on
a screen - by the time I get to the end of a page I've forgotten how it
began! Anyone know a good one, suitable for almost-beginners?
Thanks
