To: comp.lang.java.gui Matt Thanks for the quick reply. I checked that sample code out earlier what it does it gets the column 2 nd column and use the setEditor to set the combobox there at the JTable cell... Here in the case of mine for any application that uses the JTable(I am created a flexible GUI that uses instances of JTable, comboboxes and several textfields that are to be embedded in the JTable so to as gather/populate the data and rowwise/columnwise...) that application may have a standard fixed width of combination of textfields/comboboxes... they vary . So I need kinda of a loop to retrieve to make sure if the field is a JTextField or JComboBox then add this to JTable ?.... How do I do this? any ideas Sriram --- * Synchronet * The Whitehouse BBS --- whitehouse.hulds.com --- check it out free usenet! --- Synchronet 3.15a-Win32 NewsLink 1.92 Time Warp of the Future BBS - telnet://time.synchro.net:24
