That's right. Roedy, I've read your examples. That look like just simple start-up example. I didn't find the setInputVerifier on that page. I guess this is a different problem as you think. I know absolute position is bad. There are people who suggest to use fontMetrics to get character size than set size*column to be the TextField size. So any suggestion other than the absolute positioning?
