To: comp.lang.java.gui Does anyone know if there's a reliable alternate file browsing dialog, or if JFileChooser is being worked on? It lacks many features that the simple native Windows FileDialog has, such as the different views, popup-menu operations, etc. This is most apparent when using Windows L&F. With multi-selection enabled, you can't drag-select. You also can't use CTRL+A to select all *unless* you have an item selected. Also, with the right-click popup-menu, the look/feel is off (abnormal highlighting for example). I feel that JFileChooser is lagging being in the simple features such as copy/paste/delete/rename where other Swing components fit in really well. Anyone else feel this way? Any suggestions? This issue has led me to look towards SWT... --- * Synchronet * The Whitehouse BBS --- whitehouse.hulds.com --- check it out free usenet! --- Synchronet 3.15a-Win32 NewsLink 1.92 Time Warp of the Future BBS - telnet://time.synchro.net:24
