One JDBC wrapper class per table may work. Then again its likely to lead 
you into tangles with SQL that accesses more than one table, i.e. doing 
joins. In that case a bit of data analysis[*] may pay off because things 
may be easier if you can use a single class to encapsulate all access to 
a tightly linked group of tables

[*] This means looking at the database schema if there is a current 
version or draw one up if there isn't. There are some good tools for 
extracting entity-relationship diagrams from the schema if your shop has 
a budget for this sort of tool.
