Was that question intended for rickman and Jason?
They were the ones who called you a Troll...

Or, did you *really* mean to ask *me* that?

Okay, here goes:

1) you persistently or incessantly post asking about Forth
apps, or Forth hardware, e.g., much like rickman's incessant
posts about any microprocessor he likes...

2) you have no posts asking about Forth coding issues,
which is what this group is about, e.g., much like Bernd's
random discussions on politics or history or China or his
processor or even his Forth-less Forth discussions...

3) you have no apparent ability to remember prior responses
by others to your posts, i.e., you ask the same things over
and over again which can be viewed as a form of harassment,
or disrepect, or being uncaring, instead of forgetfulness...

4) you ask a variety of questions which are perceived as
"inciteful" by others here, i.e., those that force
comparisons of Forth to other languages, those that force
Forth regulars to face reality about Forth's pitiful
capabilitiess, or those that are intended to encourage
people to respond, etc.

5) you don't seem to have an opinion on anything or
any well-formed beliefs. This is a result of you only
asking questions instead of discussing issues in
the already existing threads of conversation, i.e.,
lack of participation.

> I love forth.

Whatever...

Almost everyone here could or would say that, except me.

> I am a great guy.

Ok...

You seem nice in the sense that you don't appear
to swear or get angry or hold a grudge. But, those
could be signs of a mental disorder, aging, hard
partying, long work hours, lack of sleep, no
long term memory, Asperger's, or drug abuse, etc...

The other regulars here don't like my answer on that.
I'll repeat it, yet again, anyway for it's the truth,
as I see it. Forth sucks as a programming language.
Hence, it's unpopular. Unpopular languages don't have
programs written for them because no one programs
for them. That's the core of the truth. And, it's
a self-reinforcing situation. Unpopular languages
become less popular over time. This doesn't just
affect Forth. See Lisp, Fortran, Pascal, BASIC,
COBOL, etc.

But, I've already told you this about Forth more than
a few times in the past, although perhaps not so
blatantly stating that Forth simply sucks...

Ms. Rather has also politely answered quite a few of
these questions of yours, repeatedly. Most everyone
else has given up. They really just want you to stop
posting new questions, or slight variations of old
questions. However, it's easier for them to insult
you than to ask you to stop posting. They've probably
assumed you won't stop even if asked.

> If not why hasn't someone use forth to make such an app?

See above.

> Is forth not suited for xyz?

This is another one of those questions which really irks
the regulars here. Most of the Forth regulars here believe
Forth is well suited for everything related to general
purpose programming, just like any other high-level language.
It doesn't matter to them whether that perception is true or
not. So, they see this simple question as being intentionally
inciteful. Why? Because it prompts a comparison with the
capabilities of other programming languages. That inevitably
leads to hostile, argumentative, or angry conversation,
which they don't care for. I.e., it's been deemed "taboo"
to ask about anything which truly compares Forth's abilities
or lack thereof. I.e., if you aren't a Forth "devotee",
then you shouldn't be here, according to their perspective.
(wrong) But, that's why you continue to be "crucified".
Think of this as you being a member of a cult.

> Just the info is interesting and it spawns more
> interesting topics of co[n]versation as well.

That's another example of an inciteful perspective.
They're not interested in interesting topics of
conversation. They're even less interested in someone
intentionally attempting to encourage conversation,
whether intentional, or not - which is perceived as
intentional. They're interested in Forth programming,
except when they decide to blatantly go off-topic, which
is frequent. All of them do and do so repeatedly, but
they'll point it out to you when you do and blame you even
if there are already thirty other people who were off-topic
first, until you're "accepted" as a regular by the other
regulars. It's an example of group thought, group dynamics,
and group social pressure. I suggest you resist by
embracing free thought. It's much better for you in
the long run.

Did that answer your questions?
