Back to the 'good old days'.... I have to do some quickfix on somebody else his application written in VO 2.5b3. I have a remote-desktop connection to the dev. environment. My problem is I cannot start the debugger. In the beginning I could, but after a crash I get the error message: Execution failed. Please check the expression specified (No active entity) Tried everything I could think of: reindex the repo, build a new repo, nothing helps. Even starting a new standard-MDI app in the debugger gives me this error. Any suggestions? And no, it is not an option to port to 2.8 (unfortunately) Erik

The IDE does not say where the problem is but an exe creation attempt does. Dick

If that doesn't work either there's something gone wrong with the 2.5 installation. I think I still have a 2.5 installation on an old PC. We could try to transfer it temporary to your client's PC, you add your repo and it may work again. Contact me Wednesday in private if you think that could help you. If the 2.5 still runs on that PC, I can do it the other way around as well: run your application here. You can work on the old PC using Teamviewer until your problem is solved. Everything of course provided that it still works here! Dick

Hi Dick, Thanks for the offer. I first let the systemmanager restore a backup of the cavo25 map, if this does not help I agree the best thing to do is to reinstall VO.
