To the extent that C is thought of as a portable assemby language,
e.g., https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3040276/
why would/should it provide low-level implementation of
a complex variable type? Seems way beyond that self-defined scope.
I've programmed in assembly for various architectures, and never
seen any assembler that provides complex variables.
(And note that I have an ms in physics, and often have occasion
to use complex variables in my programming. So I've got nothing
against them, so to speak. But it's completely trivial to define
them and to implement all their basic operations.)
