That on the container I use to build ARM kernels, a clean build takes just over 2 minutes and a small incremental (which stats all the files) takes around 20 seconds. Claiming that having to checksum every file rather that check the modification time isn't an unnecessary overhead is ludicrous. -- Ian Collins
