Those two are pointless to the point that they are harmful. Neither of those approach the threshold where it makes sense to do them. You might devise an algorithm to make a sandwich, it doesn't make sense to most people to devise an algorithm to eat a piece of sliced bread. If the course is about masticating, OK, but not if it is how to be a cook. It's as though rules were given to automaton to devise lesson plans - and it followed the rules slavishly. Slavish is what automatons DO. .
