Same thing is happening to me. I have gotten it to the point (after rebooting...reinstalling...etc) where the music doesn't stop playing at the point when the TV's screensaver usually kicks in....but no matter what I do, I can't get the Pandora/moving album cover screen saver to kick in. If I disable the screensaver on my TV, pandora's initial stays up, but the moving Pandora screensaver never appears. download roku screensaver Download File https://t.co/FfowIB4SuT The Roku screensaver comes on and the song stops playing. I managed to sidestep it for a couple songs by pushing the forward button on the remote. However, the behavior continues. I know it's the Pandora app that's the problem because the beta app I installed when I last had issues with the regular app years ago works fine. Pandora screensaver stopped working for me as well. Just stopped, no idea why. It's something with the Pandora app, not the Roku. All other apps work without issues, even apps work their own screensavers. Yeah, without changing any settings it'll only play like barely 1 and a half songs and then stops. After the Roku screensaver comes on the 2nd song keeps playing for a little bit but then eventually stops playing (about a minute into the song). Nope. After the Roku screensaver came on after 5 minutes it killed the Pandora music again. There is definitely a problem with the app because the roku screensaver shouldn't take over the Pandora screensaver. It's only supposed to come on after inactivity and with the Pandora app playing music and running their own screensaver that should not trigger the roku screensaver to come on. I shouldn't have to disable the screensaver because that affects everything across Roku, not just Pandora. As I've explained the Pandora Beta I got in 2021, the last time there was an issue works perfectly fine. Perhaps that's the solution. If I can find the instructions for getting it, I will post that here. When you're not watching TV, it becomes a boring black rectangle in your living room. A screensaver can make it more interesting. Roku devices have some great screensaver options to choose from. We'll show you how to change it. Roku devices come with a few screensavers pre-installed---including the 3D aquarium seen above---but there are also some you can install yourself. If you want to see the screensaver all the time, you can choose to have the TV never turn off. We'll cover that too. The screensaver will now be applied. By default, the Roku will turn off the screen after 20 minutes of inactivity. If you would like to always see the screensaver and turn the TV off manually, we can disable that setting. That's all there is to changing up the screensaver on your Roku! It's a nice way to add a little personality to your TV when it's not being used. If you have some non-Roku devices in your home, you can also change the screensaver on platforms like GOogle TV. And another thing you can do that you might not know about is creating your own custom screensavers. You can do this using the Roku app and the collection of photos on your phone. Here is a look at how it is done. Press the Home button on the Roku remote and go to Settings. Select Screensaver, then Change Screensaver. You can browse available screensavers or install a new one by selecting Add channel. You can also adjust the time before your Roku launches the screensaver. From the Screensaver menu page, select Change Wait time. Choose the amount of time to wait, or you can choose to disable the screensaver. Press OK to save your new settings. If you're a heavy Roku user like my family, you're probably very familiar with the screen saver that pops up when you haven't been watching for a bit. We use the movie-themed comic, which is actually pretty cool when you see it, giving you a chance to catch all the movie references, both popular and obscure. There are hundreds of screensavers to choose from, but after a few dozen times, the novelty wears off of any screensaver and we're left wanting something...different. Roku City, if you're not familiar, is the nickname of one of the stock screensavers available on all of the Roku devices. And while this screensaver already displays ads which appear on virtual billboards, today's announcement is about something grander. Specifically, Roku announced that "Roku City Brand Experiences," wherein its screensaver will (their words) "become an icon not just for consumers, but for marketers too." And the McDonalds fast food company is the first into the screensavers. From the Roku home screen choose Settings (usually far left) then Screensaver, and select your new screensaver app from the list. You can also choose the wait time before the screensaver kicks in. I set mine to 5 minutes. If your player is running Roku OS 12.0 or later, the Quickesign setup has changed If you are running Quickesign on a Roku, there are some important changes with Roku OS 12. Roku is in the process of rolling this out now and some players have already been updated. You can see if your player has updated in Settings->System->About Screensaver Channel NeededThe current Quickesign channel no longer can work in screensaver mode. Basically, Roku wants channels to either be screensavers or standard channels, but not both. We remedied this problem by adding a new Quickesign channel. You can get the new channel by searching for 'QESIGN' on your Roku. Install that and set that to be your new screensaver. Set your screensaver at Settings -> Theme -> Screensavers. Also go to Settings->Theme -> Screensaver Start Time. Set that to 1 minute. Explore a vast catalogue of hundreds of screensavers available for your Roku device. Take your time to browse through the options and find the screensaver that resonates with you. Once you've made your choice, simply select it and hit the Get Screensaver button. The first was consumer packaged goods (CPG), including a sponsored McDonald's(NYSE: MCD) section of the Roku City screensaver. This marketing channel is a high-margin operation for Roku, and bubbling brand-building ad interest from household names like McDonald's could shift this revenue stream into overdrive. f448fe82f3
