The pacing is terrible to put it lightly, there is barely any real character interaction, and because of this weird "somber action-movie" approach they are taking with this season, every scene seems incredibly bland and devoid of life.


I have watched the first 2 episodes, episode 1 when it came out, and after being thoroughly disgusted by what I had viewed, was perfectly content with dropping there, despite how much I liked the first season, and enjoyed the storyline in the LN. I was told it got better later, so I tried watching episode 2, and while it wasn't quite as horrid as episode 1, it was still pretty terrible. May aswell just call it Danmachi season 3 right along side the real thing. Exact same rapid fire pacing. Although, I still don't know about that since I only watched episode 1 of season 3, but my point still stands.

Either way, I'm just looking for validation from other people that my opinion here is valid, and that season 2 is a huge disappointment. The movie managed to handle Lina's introduction better than this crap we call an anime episode.

A throwback to the schlocky teen shows of the 1990s, Riverdale is a teen show that's nothing like high school, as it finds its cast dealing with regular teenage issues such as solving a murder. Based on the famous Archie comics, Riverdale has become a phenomenon since its release in 2017, with each new season regularly rating among the most watched on Netflix.


Despite how campy the show has been across its six seasons, sometimes veering into melodrama, it has remained self-aware, acknowledging that it knows just how ridiculous it can be. The show's success has led to spin-offs, including Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Katy Keene.


The Spanish mystery drama Élite is among Netflix's best guilty pleasures. Set at a prestigious Spanish private high school, the show follows a different mystery each season, with the students of Las Encinas Academy becoming reluctant participants in crimes that go from kidnapping to murder.


Outer Banks uses its setting to explore issues of class struggle and social divide. Although the dramatic antics often get the best of it, the show remains an occasionally insightful and exciting teen effort, mostly thanks to its talented cast and stellar action/adventure storylines. Outer Banks will return for a fourth season, proving how strong and crucial the show is for Netflix's teen library.


The series is grounded by the great performances of its two leads, Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff, who also starred in the recent IT films. Despite positive reviews, Netflix canceled I Am Not Okay with This after one season, making it another one to add to the pile of shows that died far too young.






One of Netflix's biggest breakout hits, Wednesday quickly struck a chord with fans of the iconic character while drawing in new followers. A big part of this success is owed to Ortega, who really makes the character her own, and it will be exciting to see where she takes the role in the confirmed second season.


While the neurodivergent-focused show was criticized early on for not hiring any autistic actors or crew members, this was addressed after the first season. This positive change lends later seasons an air of authenticity as the show focuses on the changing dynamics of Sam and his family in realistic ways.


The series was beloved by critics throughout the show's five-season run and was praised for handling important social issues such as racism and teenage drug use. The cast was also applauded, and the show launched the careers of Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, and Jesse Plemons.


It will be the sixth time since 2016 that these two have played twice in a season. The winner will earn the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 title and the right to play for a California State Football Open Division championship.


The win propelled Mililani from No. 298 to No. 53 in the HSFA 100, powered by NFL Play Football. Mililani, winners of ten straight since a season-opening loss to No. 264 Punahou (Hawaii), heads into the postseason as the top seed in Hawaii's Open Division.


Kahuku dropped out of the top 10 to No. 26 in the latest rankings. Kahuku was the architect of one of the biggest upsets of the high school season in Week 5, toppling St. John Bosco. Now, Kahuku will have to win their opening playoff game in order to earn a chance at a rematch with Mililani in the state championship game.


The Gaels started the season with five wins over ranked competition. But after beating Liberty on 49-6 on September 14, Gorman has rolled past unranked teams en route to a 10-0 record. Their relatively low strength-of-schedule has hurt Gorman in the national rankings, which are determined by HSFA's proprietary algorithm.


Bishop Gorman (Nevada) holds steady at No. 2 due to the fact that the Gaels strength of schedule (SOS) isn't as strong as Bosco's. But Gorman's road to a Nevada state championship is an easy one, with just one ranked team (No. 167 Liberty) on the playoff schedule. During the regular season, Gorman routed the Patriots 49-6.


This week features a huge showdown in southern Calirfornia. No. 1 Mater Dei (California) faces its biggest test of the season, traveling to rival No. 6 St. John Bosco (California) for their annual Trinity League showdown.


This year, Mater Dei and St. John Bosco began the season ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football. Bosco rose to No. 1 before a surprising 30-23 loss to Hawaii's Kahuku on September 16.


After Friday's game, there could be another matchup down the road in the CIF-Southern Section playoffs. Mater Dei and St. John Bosco have met in the postseason four times since 2016, and the winner of all four regular season games has lost the postseason rematch.


Former No. 12 Miami Columbus (Florida) suffered its first defeat of the season Saturday night. The Explorers lost to No. 169 Homestead 32-16. The loss drops Columbus to No. 71 this week, while Homestead moves up 71 spots to No. 98.


Preseason No. 1 Mater Dei (California) is back on top. Next up for Mater Dei is a trip to Maryland this week where the Monarchs will play No. 43 St. Frances Academy. After an 0-4 start against one of the toughest schedules in the nation, STA picked up their first win of the season this weekend against West (Utah).


Mater Dei and St. John Bosco have won five of the last six High School Football America national championships. So it should come as no surprise that the two Trinity League powers find themselves at the top of preseason High School Football America 100.


Florida placed 43 teams among the top 300 in the preseason rankings. Seven of those teams are in the Top 25: IMG Academy at No. 5, St. Thomas Aquinas at No. 6, Miami Central at No. 9, Columbus (Miami) at No. 12, Chaminade-Madonna at No. 14, American Heritage (Plantation) at No. 16 and Cardinal Gibbons at No. 24. Aquinas, Central, Chaminade-Madonna and Gibbons all won state titles last year.


Texas has the second most teams in the Preseason 300, led by defending 6A Division I champ Duncanville at No. 8. Buford, at No. 7, leads a contingent of 32 teams from Georgia. And aside from Mater Dei and St. John Bosco, California has 29 other teams in the HSFA 300. Overall, 29 states, plus the District of Columbia, are represented in the Top 300.


Mater Dei (California), the only team to beat Bosco this year, finished No. 4. Last year's national champs spent most of the 2022 season ranked No. 1. But they fell to Bosco in their rematch in the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 championship Thanksgiving weekend. Since 2017, Bosco and Mater Dei have won five of the last six HSFA national titles.


Right behind Mater Dei is three-time Texas high school football state champ Westlake. The Chaparrals wrapped-up a perfect 16-0 season Saturday night with a 40-21 win over No. 30 Denton Guyer for the Class 6A Division II title.


Like Mater Dei, Westlake never budged from their preseason No. 2 ranking. The Chaparrals' state title concluded the legendary coaching career of Todd Dodge, who retires with seven Texas high school football championships. Dodge leaves the game with a 40-game win streak.


St. Thomas Aquinas, whose lone loss on the season came at the hands of Jesuit on Sept. 3, won its third straight Florida 7A championship on Friday and finishes the season ranked No. 6 in the HSFA 100.


The High School Football America 100, powered by NFL Play Football, uses a proprietary algorithm to rank the top teams in the nation and crown an unofficial national champion at the end of the season.

The anime series The God of High School has not been renewed for a second season yet, much to the disappointment of the fandom.
