To turn it off, switch the setting to Off. Turning off Microsoft Defender Firewall could make your device (and network, if you have one) more vulnerable to unauthorized access. If there's an app you need to use that's being blocked, you can allow it through the firewall, instead of turning the firewall off. free fire for laptop windows 7 (32 amp; 64) bit download Download Zip https://t.co/dfDMpzOFFB Our laptop, HP Pavilion Model 7265NGW was charging on top of my desk when suddenly we heard a strange noise and saw fire coming from the laptop. The room filled with toxic like fumes and we rushed to extinguish the flames. Our entire house almost caught fire. The laptop itself was not recoverable. Does the device have a recall? If so, why didn't anyone from HP contact us about the recall? I have a Dell Precision 7530 laptop with a touch-screen running Windows 10. I use an external Dell WD15 Docking Station with 2 external monitors, USB keyboard and mouse, so I can close the laptop lid. I try disconnecting and/or rebooting the docking station. As a last resort, I reboot the computer. That seems to help for a while, but not always or not for long. I've called Dell support several times, and gone through BIOS upgrades for the Docking Station and the Precision laptop. The WD15 docking station uses a USB-C cable sticking straight out of the left side of the laptop. I HATE this location; it should be in the back. (Whoever made that design decision should be fired for usability ignorance.) I thought it was a faulty WD15, cable, or connector, but all parts check fine on another computer. However, disabling the touch screen is not an optimal solution. Occasionally I remove the laptop from the docking station to use it stand-alone. But then I cannot use the touchscreen until I re-enable it. A bit of a hassle. A tablet PC -- also known as a tablet computer or simply tablet -- is a smaller version of a laptop computer and a larger version of a smartphone. All tablets feature a touchscreen interface, allowing users to engage with the device using touch commands and easily access many applications without needing an external keyboard or mouse. Unlike many laptops, a tablet is a highly portable device, making it easy to carry and transport. And compared to a smartphone, tablets feature a larger form factor and larger screens, thus providing a larger and clearer display experience. Tablets also provide greater storage capacity and a longer battery life compared to smartphones. Like both laptops and smartphones, tablets are built to work in online and offline modes. Depending on the model and country of operation, tablets are compatible with most wireless and cellular data networks. One of the most important characteristics of tablet PCs is portability. Tablets are smaller and lighter than laptops, making it easy for users to carry them as needed. That said, tablets are too big to be carried in pockets or purses (like smartphones). Also, if the tablet is dropped, its screen can be damaged, so it's advisable to store and carry it in a good quality carrying case. Sometimes referred to as a convertible notebook, a hybrid notebook or a 2-in-1 laptop, a hybrid tablet is like a regular notebook, but has a removable display that functions independently as a slate. The device can be used as both a laptop and a tablet since it offers the features of the former and the convenience and portability of the latter. Having an amazon Firestick is a great way to enjoy all the streaming benefits of the device. Did you know that you can cast from laptop to Firestick and control your TV from the leisure of your laptop? Whether you have Windows or a Mac, you have the ability to utilize your laptop's mirroring capabilities. On the other hand, Mac requires a third-party app to cast to your device, and luckily there's one option that is both accessible and easy to use. Follow along to learn how to cast laptop to Firestick, regardless of your operating system. When casting your Windows 10/11 to your Fire TV Stick, it's best to use the default projection mode. The projection modes will dictate the type of image that's cast on your device. When the default mode is chosen, the Fire TV Stick will display exactly what's shown on your laptop. When casting, any notifications you'll normally receive on your laptop will be silenced on your TV. It's also important to note that if you select any buttons on the remote, it will exit your casting session completely. To cast the laptop to Firestick again, you'll have to restart the entire process. When their Dell laptop exploded into flames earlier this month, two California teens managed to avoid a house fire or a serious injury by blowing out the flames and moving the device outside. Then they posted a video of the incident, reportedly captured by a home security camera. Lithium-ion battery fires have been in the news a lot in the past year, thanks to exploding Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphones, a recall of HP laptops, and a series of hoverboard fires. However, such incidents are still rare. "There are millions and millions of lithium-ion batteries in use in cellphones and laptops every day," says John Drengenberg, the Consumer Safety Director of Underwriters Laboratories. "And the vast majority of them don't have any problems at all." To put it simply, blame thermal runaway. The major parts of a li-ion battery, the cathode and anode, are separated by a permeable membrane, and the battery works by undergoing a controlled chemical reaction. If the membrane is compromised, the chemistry can go into overdrive and dump all the battery's energy at once. Temperatures can climb past 1,000 F in a few seconds, leading to a fire or explosion. Unlike the smaller, single-cell battery in a cell phone, a laptop has multiple cells that can each be damaged by the heat from an adjacent cell. That's why the computer in the video kept re-igniting like a set of trick birthday candles. "It's a chain reaction," Drengenberg says. According to Dell, the battery that caught fire hadn't been supplied by the company. "Evidence taken directly from the laptop proves, definitively, that the battery was not manufactured by Dell and was not an authentic Dell battery," public relations vice president Dave Farmer tells Consumer Reports. According to Farmer, someone had installed a third-party battery that may have lacked the safety features that were built into the original battery. 1. Call the fire department. First, treat a burning laptop like a real fire. Because that's what it is, according to James Long, director of public information with the New York City Fire Department. "We get that all the time," Michael Zezze, assistant chief of the Chappaqua, N.Y., fire department, says. His department handled one of the first fires caused by li-ion batteries in a hoverboard. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. We'd rather show up and find out it was nothing than to have to respond to a fully involved structure fire because someone was reluctant to call." 2. Unplug the laptop. If you can do so safely, unplugging the laptop is a good first step, according to Long, because it isolates the device from the wall current and keeps additional power from being delivered to the battery. However, as you can see in the California video, unplugging the computer won't prevent a subsequent fire or explosion if the battery is already in thermal runaway. 4. Air it out. The next step would be to move the device outside, if the fire is in its early stages. That allows the fumes to vent and prevents the laptop from setting the house or its contents on fire. Zezze also suggests using a conventional ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher of the type you might find in your kitchen. Since the extinguisher can spray effectively from across a large room, you can stay at least 10 feet from the device. "Keep a safe distance," he says. "There's no reason to be right on top of it. You could be dealing with burning shrapnel." 6. Continue to monitor the device. Even after the device seems to be out, there may be damage to a cell that can cause the fire to re-ignite. "These fires tend to be unpredictable," Zezze explains. "They can flare back up after three, five, or ten minutes." Dan Gorham, project manager with the Fire Safety Research Foundation, a nonprofit group, recalled a training exercise when large li-ion batteries from a burning electric car re-kindled a full 24 hours after the fire department sensors suggested that the fire had been extinguished. A fire extinguisher might seem like a simple device, but you would be surprised how many people don't know how to use one. On the "Consumer 101" TV show, host Jack Rico explains what you need to know. Casting to an Amazon Fire TV Stick is a handy option. It can help you stop straining your eyes to see the content on your tiny laptop or smartphone screen. You can view your laptop, smartphone, or tablet content on a TV screen connected to your Amazon Fire TV Stick. Casting to your Fire TV Stick is an excellent option to take advantage of the display size of a large-screen TV instead of your laptop or smartphone's tiny screen. Once the Airstream is running, you should enjoy seamless operation when casting from your iPhone. The native casting ability from your Android devices should be seamless too.
