I share Canva Pro with somebody who pays for it. He uses a lot of brand kits, and I went to create my own and it didn't let me. I had no option to create one. I could only view all of the existing ones. Does anybody have any idea why?

Previously only available on a Canva Enterprise account, Canva introduced multiple brand kits to Canva Pro in June 2021, and this is an incredibly helpful feature to have access to if you are someone who has multiple businesses or multiple brands, who who manages multiple different clients.

It is especially useful if you work with multiple brands. Setting up brand kits allows you to save colors and other design elements for quick access where you can apply brand styles in designs with a few clicks.

I find it easier to work with brand kits on a laptop/desktop instead of the phone app. So, this tutorial is applicable to the browser or desktop version of Canva. But you can easily follow almost the same steps to set up your brand kit on a mobile app.

I made a video for you showing you exactly how to create a brand kit and use it, or even switch between different kits from within a design window. Here it is. (And if you prefer the written tutorial, no worries, I have that too. Simply scroll past this video to get to that.)

A brand kit is where your brand elements are stored. Whether you create logos using Canva or some other program is of no relevance. When you have all brand elements stored in the brand kit, you can quickly access them within Canva and use them as needed.

The Canva for Teams platform at UC San Diego provides access to easy-to-use branded templates across all channels that are preapproved and customizable. It limits access to just the colors and fonts within UC San Diego brand standards, making it easy to ensure brand consistency and compliance with UC San Diego policy 400-2.

For a peek inside, check out this video from the June 2023 Marketing Council where our Canva rep took UC San Diego marketing and communications staff through the ins and outs of the UC San Diego Canva for Teams platform. Skip ahead 10 minutes to get straight to the key content. To learn more about Canva, visit Canva.com.

If you are an existing user, your account will automatically be extended through July 31, 2024. However, payment details must be provided by October 15, 2023 to ensure continuity of service. (For further details and instructions, see the email you should have received from Executive Director, Marketing, Erin Shepler, on July 31, 2023. If you need that email resent, please reach out to brand ucsd.edu.)

To become a new subscriber, please complete this online form. For those who submitted the form prior to July 31 and have been waiting, you can expect an invite from UC San Diego Canva by August 4, 2023. All those who complete the form after July 31 will be added to the waitlist for the next available six-month window (February 1, 2024) at half the annual subscription price.

When we introduced UC San Diego Canva for Teams, our hope was to offer a free service that was equitably distributed across campus and could help extend access to easy-to-use brand compliant tools and templates. We quickly realized that demand exceeded capacity and varied significantly across the different academic and administrative units. What we hoped would be balanced and fair was not, nor was the structure responsive to campus demand.

No. While you are no longer required to recieve approval before downloading or sharing your designs, you are still encouraged to submit your designs to "Marketing Review" so that we can provide guidance as you dip your toes into these new brand tools. Remember, all marketing independently created by campus administrative and academic units for external audiences, as well as banners and major event signage, must be sumitted for Brand Review and Approval.

Creating multiple brand kits in Canva is a great way to keep your designs organized and consistent. With this feature, you can easily switch between different brand kits and access the specific logos, colors, and fonts for each one. Whether you have multiple businesses or manage different clients, having the ability to create multiple brand kits can save you time and effort.

Once you have set up your brand kit in Canva, you can start creating templates that reflect your brand. To do this, simply select the template you want to use and customize it using the elements in your brand kit.

One way to do this is to use your brand colors to change the background, text, or other design elements in the template. You can easily access your brand colors by clicking on the color palette icon in the editor and selecting your brand kit.

Another way to incorporate your brand kit into your templates is to use your brand fonts. Canva allows you to upload your own fonts, so you can easily add your brand fonts to the editor and use them in your templates.

In addition to colors and fonts, you can also add your logo and other brand elements to your templates. Simply upload your logo to your brand kit and then drag and drop it onto your template. You can also add other design elements, such as patterns or icons, to your brand kit and use them in your templates.

By creating templates with your brand kit, you can ensure that all of your marketing materials are consistent and on-brand. This can help to establish a strong brand identity and make your business more recognizable to your customers.

Alternatively, if you have a team on Canva, you can invite team members to access your brand kit. This is a great option if you work with a group of people who need access to your brand assets on an ongoing basis.

Creating a design with a template and branded fonts/colors: Selecting a template to use, renaming your new design, saving it into the right folder, replacing template text, moving/dragging elements, grabbing multiple elements, and using the undo/redo feature.

Using images and QR codes: Finding images in your media folder from the design editor space; uploading images, renaming, inserting, and cropping images into your design; finding/using your team's brand kit; and creating QR codes.

Canva's platform provides an easy way to create consistently branded messaging in promotional materials. An upcoming event can be quickly advertised on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, digital monitors throughout McCormick, and through printed flyers, with elegant and communicative themed templates. Zoom webinar introductory slides and powerpoint presentations are also available in themed template sets for virtual events.

Canva is a graphics tool that virtually any small business owner can benefit from using. On top of the hundreds of easy-to-edit templates they have, over the past year, Canva has added a ton of new stickers, graphics, and fonts.

With that being said, how do you choose what fonts to use and pair together for your business? If you are going through a re-brand or starting fresh, here are some Canva font pairings, you might want to try.

Ooo, la, la! This swoon-worthy French-inspired pairing is to die for. Pair Le Jour Serif with Mont Thin for an international font delight, perfect for beauty brands, fashion brands, content creators and more.

Looking for fonts with the perfect balance of sophistication and editorial style? This magazine-worthy font pairing would be a smart choice for bloggers, fashion and beauty brands, and wellness brands.

All you have to do is click on the element you would like to change the color of. Now click on the color icon on the top left hand side, from there you can select one of your brand colors to replace it.

At BELLA + CANVAS, we don't take color lightly. With over 300 shades to choose from amongst our current range of silhouettes, color is of paramount importance to everything we do. But we didn't get here by accident, spinning the color wheel blindly pointing to 300 shades, crossing our fingers for a win. Each and every color is, in fact, a careful concoction - a perfect mixture of both creative intuition and curious observation.

As said in the headline, when I try to create a graphic from the Canva integration within the Social Media post creation tool in HS, the company brand kit doesn't show up, even though we have one set up in HS. Is there a way to have the brand kit available so that I don't have to select the brand colors manually etc.? Please, see the image as reference. Thanks
