I have been able to successfully change the background color of my schematic editor to white and I've also tweaked the various layers in display.drf (via the Display Resource Manager) so the wires, pins, symbols etc all look great and print out just like they look on the screen. However, the thing that's killing this is the light yellow on white that I get when making a selection rectangle and the yellow on white rubber banding when I'm stretching stuff (i.e. I can't see what I'm doing). I'm so close! Does anybody out there know how I can control those remaining colors so they are appropriate for a white background?


Thanks for your reply Quek. I already knew about hilight drawing and have that remapping in place. My question specifically related to the 'dynamic' yellow rectangle drawn while making a selection rectangle or the dynamic rubber banding of cells and wires while moving or stretching them. Many people really like the white background but this issue is a deal breaker for them.


I just installed E2 Studio V7.8.0 and i am having a difficult time adjusting the highlight background color for a selected identifier. I have the "light" theme, but there is an integer variable "i" whose font is black and background color is a dark blue, meaning that i can't make out what the variable actually is.


And more obscure color editors scattered here and there, and i've tried pretty much every category, often with restarting E2 Studio for the changes to take effect (even after i have clicked "Apply"), but the background color doesn't change. I can see other colors changing, but not that background color.


My question is 2 parts: how do i change the background color? And, why is it so difficult to do something simple like changing editor font and background colors? In hte past i've used editors that allow you to click on dummy code in a window and modify that color directly, very quickly and efficiently. If the Eclipse developers are trying to deliberately obfuscate and needlessly over complicate the selection of font colors, backgrounds, highlights, etc., then they couldn't have done a better job.


I'm tired of having a plain white background while tagging SGML in Arbortext Editor. I want to try something darker to reduce some eye strain. I can easily change the color of my tags, but I'm struggling with how to change the default white background to something else. Is it even possible?






I've tried window_set(canvasbackground blah blah blah) , but either I'm not sure how to use that command or that command does not work in the way I'm thinking it should work.

I got the work-around. Just add a collection for background and add collection list, so that client can anytime replace the image in collection from Editor mode.


When we insert an app frame (with a white background) into Jam (white), at scale, our design becomes indistinguishable due to the white background of the board itself, and this cannot be changed.

To Figma team developer I want a feature for the Figjam file ( drawing feature ) I want the feature to change the background to dark color because when I drawing something at night if Figjam has this feature dark color its will so good for my eyes.

My problem with this technique is that I actually need the background color to change dynamically depending on the row and col index, so I need to either apply a different class or change the background color if the colIndex exists in a dynamic array. I updated this fiddle to show my technique


I'm rendering an image with a transparent background, which will eventually be included in a figure with a white background. In the Image Editor, blender displays the transparent regions as a grey/black checkerboard pattern. This is helpful, but I would like to get an idea how my image looks on a white background whenever I re-render.

Is there anyway to temporarily set the background color of the Image Editor?


Also, as soon as you change the background color of "normal text" to anything else than white, the background of the line numbers is immediately changed to some dark blue (possibly a color from the dark theme). I would rather like to see an option to change the row numbers background oneself as oposed to this default behaviour.

Thank you. That works perfectly with search. I am looking for the same effect but when I manually highlight text. In Joplin's Dark theme, selected text in the code pane has a gray background that is difficult for me to distinguish from other text. I would like to make the background blue as in the rendered pane.


It seems that text selection is on the layer below the codeblock background. Is there a way to make codeblock backround transparent so text selections within them become more visible? Or does anyone have recommendations for good color combinations?
