Papers may present experimental or modeling studies based on laboratory or field observations. Papers relating to sustainability of engineering materials or to the impact of materials on sustainability of engineering structures are especially encouraged.


Selected Scientific Papers - Journal of Civil Engineering is an international peer-reviewed journal of the Technical University of Kosice, Civil Engineering Faculty. The journal publishes original research papers of the theoretical and experimental nature within civil engineering and architecture. The topics include the following research areas:


The Slovak Journal of Civil Engineering (SJCE) is an international scientific journal published by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of The Slovak University of Technology. The SJCE aims to become a multidisciplinary forum for the presentation of original contributions and the exchange of knowledge in the broad field of civil engineering. The Journal covers topics in Architecture and Construction Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, Structural Engineering, Water and Sanitary Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Surveying and Geodesy. The editors of SJCE do not wish to restrict the topics suitable for publication, but would suggest some guidelines. Submitted material should report on original work which may cover either scientific or technological developments. Interdisciplinary contributions covering the economic or environmental aspects of civil engineering are also welcomed.


The Slovak Journal of Civil Engineering aims at topics which expand the boundaries of knowledge on the interface between academic research and practical applications in the broad fields of the theory of civil engineering, design and technology sectors. By providing an international forum for the interchange of information and up-to-date issues from around the world, it aims to serve the interests and needs of civil engineering scientists, applied researchers, advanced practitioners, and professionals.


The Slovak Journal of Civil Engineering (SJCE) is an international scientific journal of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava published by Sciendo, De Gruyter Poland. The SJCE is a multidisciplinary forum aiming at publishing high-quality original content in the broad field of civil engineering.


The journal features fluid mechanics, hydraulics of closed and open systems, operations and utilities, coastal engineering, ports and harbours, offshore engineering [surface and subsea installations, well technology and pipelines] the atmosphere and aerodynamics, wind energy, water distribution and treatment. Each issue includes a full subject index. Annual cumulative subject and author indexes are produced for each volume.


Civil Engineering Practice, published by Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section/ASCE (BSCES), is one of the oldest civil engineering publications in the US. BSCES has published over 100 issues of this journal since 1914. View uploaded issues here.

The American Society of Civil Engineering magazine details various reasons why civil engineering and many other professions are facing labor shortages and strategies for employers to attract new hires. However, one important activity we must collectively improve upon over the next decade is our outreach to primary and secondary education students to promote engineering and combat the decline in those pursuing engineering curriculums and careers. The Boston Society of Civil Engineers has a Public Awareness and Outreach Committee that is responsible for planning and implementing educational outreach and our dedicated members consistently organize several great events and competitions each year! We hope to keep this up given its significance these days.

The Journal of Earthquake Engineering is a publication of peer-reviewed papers on research and development in analytical, experimental and field studies of earthquakes from an engineering seismology as well as a structural engineering viewpoint.


Understanding the mechanical behavior of solids and contacts (interfaces and joints) is vital for the analysis, design, and maintenance of engineering systems. Materials may simultaneously experience the effects of many factors such as elastic, plastic, and creep strains; different loading (stress) paths; volume change under shear stress; and microcracking leading to fracture and failure, strain softening, or degradation.


Dynamics is increasingly being identified by consulting engineers as one of the key skills which needs to be taught in civil engineering degree programs. Muhammad Ali Musarat is a Civil Engineer, having specialization in Construction Engineering and Management. He has good experience in academia and published several articles journals and conferences. He served as Coordinator and Assistant Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology, Pakistan. Currently he is pursuing his PhD in Civil Engineering at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia.


Heah, Cheng Yong serves as Associate Professor in UniversityMalaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and currently a fellow researcher at Center ofExcellence Geopolymer and Green Technology (CEGEOGTECH). His research interestsfocuses on materials engineering, geopolymers, construction materials,materials characterization, materials processing, and materials characteristic.Besides, he actively acts as reviewer for impact factor journal publish byElsevier, Springer, Wiley or Nature. Besides, he is appointed as severalinternational editorial board members by multidiscipline journal. Currently, Heis ranked as World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University.


Chung-Hsin WU received a Doctorate in Environmental Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1999 and he joined the faculty of Chemical and Materials Engineering at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) in 2010 as a Professor. He was the head of the department during 2015-2019 and he was the dean of the college of engineering now. Prof. WU directed the Lab. of Environmental Physiochemical Treatment in NKUST. He was a registered professional engineer (P.E., Taiwan) in environmental engineering. His research interest included treatment processes for contaminated waters and hazardous chemicals, for which seven Taiwan patents have been issued. He was currently working on the synthesis of novel photocatalysts. Prof. WU had authored over 110 SCIE journal papers and 85 conference presentations and seminars.
