My apologies, I have asked this before but failed to save the answer. I promise to save it this time! I have a multiplot, two plots one above the other, both with the same x-axis. The y-ranges are different and gnuplot chooses different numbers of decimals. This leads to the two plot boxes having different lengths along x. How do I force this length to be the same, so that the two x-axes line up? I know I can ask for the numbers to be written out with the same number of decimals but I don't like numbers like 1.000, 2.000, etc. There is a way to do this while keeping the y-axis numbers as they are now. -- Dieter Britz
