Funny you should ask this week :-)

A snapshot of the 4.5 source was cloned a couple of days ago to create an
alpha version for a planned version 4.6.  You may expect a 4.6 release
candidate sometime early next year, and a full 4.6.0 release sometime in 
the Mar/Apr time frame.

I am not aware of any serious issues that need to be addressed prior to
a 4.6 release, but please speak up if you know otherwise!
