Hi, does anybody know how to use a placeholder with definied width and height in gnuplot instead of text something like set ylabel "placeholder(20mm,10mm)" where nothing is printed but the it is handle like text of width 20mm and height 10mm? Just to answer the question: Why?: I want to use a very long and complex latex command, get its size from latex by compiling it including some special latex packages, create the corresponding gnuplot epslatex export and than replace the placeholders in the created tex file with the latex command. Thanks in advance! greenux
