3d axis title positioning problems

I am finding that version 5.2 patch 0 seems to have broken, or seriously altered, the positioning of axis titles on 3D plots.  They can be too far from the tic values, or on top of the tic values.  

In earlier versions I found it necessary to use the offset parameter to get decent positions, and that works well enough, but now with 5.2 that logic is giving terrible positions.

This is with the rotate parallel option.

Is it possible to put screen shots in forum post?
