Unfortunately, you have understood that exactly incorrectly.  The point 
symbol is, somewhat obviously, decided by the _point_ type, or 'pt' for 
short.

That's because it can't be in the manual --- the manual is text, not 
graphics.  See "help test" for how it's really done.
