Hello, First I appreciate for taking time to reply. But I am very new to gnuplot and I am trying my best to learn. The reason why I use the formula cause I have a C++ code that gives the co-efficient of the ellipse in form of a,b,c,d,e,f. And I want to see if the co-efficents are matching. I get the points and a plane. But I followed the same steps as mentioned in this link

but I am not able to get the ellipse, only the points are plotted.
