Hey:

I'm having problems in updating my gnuplot version. I installed gnuplot from synaptics and the version I got was the 4.4.3.

I need to have the 4.6 because I'm trying to plot a script which uses some commands that were introduced at gnuplot 4.6. I've also read that when installing gnuplot 4.6, some terminals are not and that can be a problem to me. I'd like to have the terminal postscript. 

Can somebody explain in detail me the steps I should follow? I'm pretty new in using ubuntu and do not know how to do it. I will appreciate a lot your help
