There is nothing about "under Windows Vista the count parameter is based on... Higher Windows uses 10 for count". Other problem that Windows uses msecs, PGSQL seconds. My first fail based that I set the count in postgresql.conf, and setsock call failed. In this case I got the 2 hours timeout... Thanks for your help: dd
