If you ask for it you will. If you don't ask for it, you will not.

In SSMS 2008 the scripting wizard brings you to the page with scripting
options. One of them is Script Data.

In SSMS 2012 this page is not displayed automatically. You need to press
the the Advanced button in the third screen.
