ASP, but I would prefer to get away from ActiveX at the browser
so that I can use more than just IE for a browser. I do not mind
using it at the Web server level to communicate with SQL Server.

I did not know that. I just verified it. Thank you for the
correction.

I want something that lets me avoid using ActiveX at the browser
level. It is fine at the Web server level. I have been unable to
find out how to do this. Some people have pointed out names, but I
have been unable to find any working examples. Give me an example,
and I can get started. Without it, I am stuck AFAIK with using IE
only for a browser.
Sincerely,
Gene Wirchenko
