With Mac OS X, where does Filemaker take the name that appears when I do a print and then i choose to save the file as PDF or show it in Apple Preview? Can't find it out anymore... -- Per contattarmi, togliere -NOSPAM- dall'indirizzo. To contact me, remove -NOSPAM- from address.

Can't find it out anymore... If you generate the PDF from the Print dialog box, you will have the opportunity to name the file when you assign the Save location. Otherwise I think it just takes the name of the FileMaker file by default. If you use the script step "Save Records as PDF" you can specify the output file path including the name in the script step.

But it proposes a name > Otherwise I think it just takes the name of the FileMaker file by > default. and that name isn't filename, isn't window name, and isn't format name... I'm sure I give it the name, some time ago, but now I can't find how... -- Per contattarmi, togliere -NOSPAM- dall'indirizzo. To contact me, remove -NOSPAM- from address.

I'm speaking about a simple command+P, after that, I save as PDF or open it in Preview, and the file has a name that is the old name of my project, but now I didn't use it in any know place (file, forms, scripts, etc...). -- Per rispondere, togliere -NOSPAM- dall'indirizzo.

IIRC it is a known limitation that this print name does not change when renaming the database file. ~jens
