I do not see any need, success or advantage within that market, but that's just me. An update is long overdue, although this does not meen that there will be any. I'm not in any loop to know what will come when. There's much I hate about FMP11 (instant resort) and lots I miss, but I abandonned any hope that FMP will move towards the direction where I'd see its success: For plain record crunching there's an excellent range of SQL alternatives. For special interfaces much of this can be done via web browsers. FMP lacks significant graphing capabilites, where other solutions do offer better toolkits based on SVG. But for my personal needs I still want multi-cell copy/paste. It's so annoying to create a special export subset just to catch the data from a few cells within a few records and use this within a mail or text document. It's so cumbersome to repeat the same edit steps instead of pasting data to multiple records together - typical spreadsheet operations which can be done in Excel, OpenOffice/LibreOffice and other real spreadsheet tools, but not within the spreadsheet view of FMP. There's more I'd want, but that's my major issue.
