Fully, everything you would be able to do with you normal mouse. The tip 
is pressure sensitive and can act as a pencil. OR/AND can act as a 
mouseclick (tick-tick), and/or select area (drag the tip)
The sideswitch rocks up and down, both customisable. I use up as 
double-click, down as context-menu-click.
The top is used mostly in drawing programs etc as a rubber. At one time 
I used it as delete, but found the flipping of the pen to be to 
cumbersome to my taste and now never use it anymore.
I have found it difficult to use with programs that rely heavily on the 
mouse scroll wheel, like the zooming function of google earth. In which 
case I either use the keyboard or fall back on the mouse. The Wacom 
Sapphire came with a dedicated wireless mouse that you put on top of the 
tablet to use. Works perfectly if needed.
Finally I know some people can't get used to switching to a tablet. for 
me it was easy, within a week I didn't know any better. But my partner 
always relies on using a mouse. So if you are at all able to try it, I 
would say do so.
