Thankyou both.
That seemed to work.  Some of the fields were calculation type.  I changed them to Date type and auto enter calculation - calculaiton result must be date.

Then when I re-typed the data it recalulated and displayed the correct values :-D

I wasn't using repeating fields.  I was just using one field and calling it in more than one calculation.
