The linking field on the "one" side has nothng checked on the Auto-Enter page and the "Only during data entry" radio button selected and the "Allow user to override during data entry" box checked on the Validation page. Nothing else is selected or checked on this page. (These pages are from the "Options" display for the field.) The same is true for the linking field on the "many" side. Charlie -- Nobody in this country got rich on his own. You built a factory--good. But you moved your goods on roads we all paid for. You hired workers we all paid to educate. So keep a big hunk of the money from your factory. But take a hunk and pay it forward. Elizabeth Warren (paraphrased)
