This is a digest of ``help wanted'' and ``position available'' messages received at comp.compilers during the preceding week. Messages must advertise a position having something to do with compilers and must also conform to the guidelines periodically posted in misc.jobs.offered. Positions that remain open may be re-advertised once a month. To respond to a job offer, send mail to the author of the message. To submit a message, mail it to compilers@iecc.com. ------------------------------- From: Susan Raskin <susanhrinsj@gmail.com> Subject: GNU C Compiler Engineer for MIPS Technologies, Sunnyvale, CA Date: Fri, 24 Feb 2012 17:30:03 -0800 (PST) MIPS Technologies has a newly created position in its Sunnyvale, CA headquarters for a Senior Gnu C Compiler engineer. This engineer will develop enhancements to GCC and contribute those enhancements to the open-source community, and will be the resident expert on GCC within MIPS. He or she will work with MIPS' test and verification engineers to identify and solve day-to-day customer and internal GCC compiler issues. The ideal candidate will have a BSCS and five or more years industry experience contributing target-specific enhancements to the open source gnu C compiler; the target may be MIPS, ARM, or x86, but MIPS is strongly preferred. He or she will have demonstrated strong MIPS assembly language skills and expert-level knowledge of the gnu toolchain in an industry environment; academic experience will not be very helpful. This position is available only on an on-site, full work-week, salaried basis, in Sunnyvale, CA, and is not suitable for an internship, consultancy, or telecommute arrangement. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship from an employer. To apply for this position, email resume to susan@mips.com or apply through the careers section of the MIPS website at www.mips.com. MIPS Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
