On the 15/12/2017, I reported here that Telstra had with their NBN mucked
up my Internet. Well after complaint with the complaint department at
Telstra is not fixed. Finally in frustration we contacted the Ombudsman.
Telstra responded with a firm statement that they would contact us in a few
days. They did not.

As of the 4/1/18 its still not fixed.

You left big time off the subject line. My daughter dumped them and went
with one of the companies TPG took over and surprise surprise she now has an
internet connection.

I thought Telstra were meant to be the best. They are the most expensive.

Not necessarily even then. They deploy small 4GX towers for small
populations that are only compatible with a very limited number of
phone models.

That's Telstra. I've had nothing but grief from them when I've had to
use their services, since the early 80's.

I went with Optus not long after they entered the fray (late 80s?).
Never had a problem and my costs went down to a third or less than what
they were under Telstra. Even the Optus helpline people, usually
Australia based AFAICT, get any issue sorted out in short order.
I live in a *Telstra Free Zone* and I intend to keep it that way. I
advise others to do likewise.
