Auto repeat works fine tho, but not quite as good for that.

I prefer to be able to pause and continue with a mouse click rather than
the space bar because I normally have to click on the screen with the
player playing full screen so might as well have the click do that.

Bit strange tho like most frog stuff. When playing a video, and having
paused it, it you cant pop up the settings to change something, you
have to exit what you are playing before you can change a setting.

Not as configurable as VLC with the shortcut keys either.

That’s ever worse. The settings are behind the full screened player and
there isnt even any way to get out of full screened mode to get to it.

And it calls itself VMP in the Task Manager too.

The problem with not being able to see the settings when
you right click is because the full screen is on top and there
is no way to get it out of full screen once the settings screen
is behind it, you cant get back to the main screen to get it
out of the full screen mode and cant use the setting screen
because its behind the full screen main screen. You have to
kill it in the task manager.

> you need to fix one of your settings?

That’s even more fucked. The setting defaults
to always on top to off but acts as if its on.
Havent bothered to try to resolve that yet.

Not saying its not useable, because it will play some stuff
that VLC wont, its still better than VLC in that area alone
and this config stuff is just a minor irritation, just means
you can't always fiddle with the settings with a paused play.

well all I can do (have done) it tell you how it works here. why it
works differently for you I don't know, but as far as I'm concerned the
way is works here is correct, as I can do the things you say you can't.
are you using win10? but nevertheless it works the same on win 7 anyway.

Its obviously the settings.

I didn’t say that either.

Nope.

So it must be the settings.

On the whole, I love it and don’t use anything else much now.

Still quite buggy, but he is updating at a high rate.

Havent seen that popup problem anymore.

Very serious bug with some media formats, particularly
what 24 Hours in Emergency shows up in on SBS non HD.
Until the last update, way to step forward and backward at all.
With the latest version, goes mad and steps by huge amounts.

One minor quirk is that stepping using the mouse scroll wheel
which is very handy and I use most of the time, doesn’t work
first off when viewing a new file, just when you need it most
because I normally start recording a minute or two before
the scheduled time with ABC and SBS and 5 minutes early
with the commercials up to about 8pm and 10 mins early
later in the evening. Does work after a while, not clear when
it starts working whether its pure time, regardless of whether
the play is paused or not, in which case its likely just taking
its time to move thru the entire file to get the step detail right
time wise or whether it’s the use of the keyboard arrow keys
that gets the scroll wheel stepping working. Just a minor
irritation tho.

haven't noticed that. how powerful is the pc you're using? the issues
you're having could be due to lack of processing power, or memory, or
computer bugs.

I use this to keep my PC cleaned up:
