That all works fine with the arrow keys.

Later, when the mouse scroll wheel starts working, you get both the scroll
wheel and the arrow keys behaving identically.

Yeah, I'm getting that now too.

Oops bit late but yeah that does work. I think the file I was playing
when I first tried it was a large one and the slider only moved
fractionally. So yeah, it works as you say.

I've basically given up on this for other reasons. The main problem is
that only has one step size which is completely fucking useless with ads.

With dvrview you can specify the main step size to be the usual ad break
time for the channel with the shortest ad breaks, SBS and then use the
horizontal arrow keys fine step to the start of the new program segment,
forward or back as required. And just do two big steps for commercial;
channels.

VSO only has the one step size so its fucked for ad breaks, you have to
keep it small so you can fine step at the start of the next seg and then
you are stuck with lots of steps to get thru the bigger ad breaks.

The problem with the scroll wheel not working at all, just stepping
in a forward direction and sometimes jumping to the end of the file
on the first step hasn’t been fixed but may only apply to DVRMS files.

That got much worse with the next version, quite a few media
formats had the same problem no way to move thru the file
using the arrow keys or mouse scroll wheel without huge jump,
often in the wrong direction too.

That now appears to have been fixed, at least I havent seen it
again with the handful of files I have played since installing it
yesterday early.

He's finally fixed that with the latest revision.

Very buggy tho, you can't update to the latest version
when its offered, when you say yes, nothing happens.

When you install the new version from the web site, that works
fine, but the installer never exits, you have to kill that manually.
