I'm currently on Optus NBN unlimited data for $80 per month, which includes Fetch TV and Optus Sport. Currently it is FTTB but in a few weeks it will be FTTP. Is this a good deal in comparison to what else is on the market?

How could it not be? Fibre is quicker than copper.

Fibre is quicker than copper. Not when the fastest service you can buy for sensible amounts of money is slower than over a short copper service like with fttb.

Not necessarily with the fiber currently only doing 100/40 I actually get 114/44 with my fttn and the street cable distance is much further than you would get in a normal block of flats. Sure, fttp can do better in future, but currently doesn’t in that situation. Bug advantage with fttp instead of fttb is that you can have more than one service, but that obviously costs twice as much and it would normally only be small businesses operating from home in that bother with more than one, hoping that one will mostly be available to use unless the fttp service itself falls over.
