Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.

Like hell it does when the chlorination is done in the water treatment
plant, long before the water has been sitting in the hot water storage
tank in luke warm water because the fuckwit owner of the solar hot
water service hasn’t sized it properly so it runs out of hot water and
sits there down around 30C or below for hours.

But we were talking about 50% which some are set at, especially
instantaneous 50c compliant which are not changeable.

And even 50C isnt relevant with a solar hot water system that
hasn’t been sized properly so it runs out of hot water and sits
around for hours at 30C or lower,

You and I were talking about 50 DEGREES (not 50%) and then, Pretzel went
off in a different direction. Typical thread drift.

I dunno about you, but I'm more interested in how warm the water is so I
can have a hot shower, or do a good hot load of hand washing up ofmy
pots and pans. I'm less concerned about bugs in my water. Mind you,
our water is hot so there shouldn't be any bugs at our preferred temps.

My understanding is that an Australian HWS must be set at 70 Celsius.
I've got a mate whose company makes tempering systems to mix the hot
water with cold once it leaves the tanks to bring it down X Celcius.
These go to schools, hospitals, nursing homes etc so people don't get
scalded.

I can't find a figure online for NSW and couldn't even in the earlier
discussions with Murytz. Both 70 and 50 have been given. But Murtz
mentioned 50% so I was informing him that it was not a percentage but
degrees.

And your mate won't get anywhere near my house or I'll boil him in oil!
I like my water hot (the same my not apply when I'm in my bath chair in
an OPH).

Btw, the following popped up on one of my blog reads today and I thought
it was interesting given the current discussions:

That is storage, I was on about Instantaneous some of which are factory
set at 50 degrees C but as far as I know the storage heaters come with
minimum 60 degree to 75 or so and I do not think 70 is compulsory

You're wrong, as always.

In spades with solar hot water when the owner is
actually stupid enough to have not sized it properly.

There might just be a reason those don’t get used in homes, fuckwit.

Then you wont have any difficulty citing what requires that.

It doesn’t, you are wrong, as always.

Even sillier than you usually manage, and that’s saying something.

Nah I don't have a degree button either but we probably both do if we
faff around with some of the settings relating to our keyboard. Have
you booked in for your cataract work? Everyone I know who's had the op
says that suddenly the world is full of colour again.

Am having a spot of bother as my preferred hospital (Concord repat where
all my records are)does not seem to want to take my referal because I
have moved 80 kms away, they have not got back to me yet, I may have to
pick between liverpool Campbelltown or Bowral (if they do such things
Even then I may be up for a wait of two years on the free list some
people say.

I have a set against Bowral too, I was in for observation (suspected
stroke, false alarm)and was discharged at midnight (would not let me
stay in bed till morning) all they would do was arrange a taxi for me
that would cost me $130.00 so I sat in an uncomfortable chair in
casualty till morning and caught a train to Tahmoor

That absolutely stinks I would of been onto the local members as well.
I've got a few horror stories about my kids and the paediatric ward at
Bowral, I think it has now been revamped. Luckily my family have private
insurance so head straight to the Private but they don't cater for kids.
