The other reason is that they use so little water now that even if they do have a hot water inlet, you actually get fuck all hot water in the dishwasher at the end of the fill, because its mostly been filled with cold water in the pipe to the storage hot water tank by the time its filled the dishwasher.

There is fuck all water in a dishwasher so it costs fuck all to heat it and its heated much hotter than you get out of any domestic hot water supply, so it works much better to get the worst of the shit off.

Poor rd you ignorance is coming to the fore. Dishwashers use the domestic HW if it is not hot enough they can heat it. OK this is only with the dishwashers I've owned since the 80's

We'll see... > Dishwashers use the domestic HW Fuck all do anymore. Almost all of them have just a cold water supply and that works better because the first rinse doesn’t see food baked onto the stuff inside it. > if it is not hot enough they can heat it. OK this is only with the > dishwashers I've owned since the 80's Stupid way to do a dishwasher because you need to rinse the stuff by hand before you put it in the dishwasher with those. With the best dishwashers that use cold water and heat it, you only need to knock the stuff like chop bones off into the bin before putting the plates into the dishwasher and they always come out perfectly clean.
