SubjectOptus NBN?
Message-ID<oq6ou5$nod$1@gioia.aioe.org>
I'm about to move somewhere which has NBN. Tossing up whether I should
I get Optus NBN which includes Optus Fetch TV. Will be $80 per month.
Is it worth it?

If you care about the speed of the service,
you can do a lot better than with Optarse
and FTTB will be able to deliver it.

Optus seem to be on the better end of the scale. Seems like you could
do a lot worse.

I don't want to go for one of the cheapo telcos anymore. I was with OVO
for mobile broadband and was very irritated with their website for
account management etc.

Nope. That fool turdbull is the one that was stupid
enough to go for fttn, not that fuckwit yank.

That fuckwit yank isnt the one blocking sites either.

I was talking about their own account management websites. I'm on
Telstra mobile broadband (this month) and don't see any increased
lag since the DNS block (which does work, the DNS resolves to
101.167.166.53 (http://101.167.166.53/)).

Testing the DNS resolution time using the "ping" command, the
IP address seems to be returned quite soon enough.

'm using testra FTTN and are getting a lag which seems (IMO) to be
checking and storing logs
Maybe need to go back to drawing board?
Win10 64 bit opera browser using 8.8.8.8 DNS

no blocks when using my VPN but still a lag
