Its not going to happen but if it did there would not be enough
bandwidth.

Fools ran that line about 4G too and they pig ignorantly lied.

Because it’s a shared bandwidth system, stupid.

I remember ppl saying the NBN would be made obsolete by mobile broadband
before the NBN cables were even laid. so it's not true then?

a friend who doesn't use much data recently ditched her ADSL and uses
her phone as a hotspot to connect

Yep, some fools did say that.

Nope, never was, because of the shared bandwidth problem.

Sure, it can be cheaper for people like that.

it was not only cheaper but better. she was only getting 2.5 mbps on
ADSL and now gets 17.5 mbps. it was my suggestion to her to do it, so
she's quite pleased now she took the advice

Years ago I tried.... and failed. ;-)

Have all the music I could ever want, or could ever listen to in the
rest of my lifetime.
Movies bore me.

These days I chew through 150 GB per month and the lions share of that
would be accounted for by my wife who watches online Thai soapies. She
used to get them from Springvale on DVD years back but, obviously,
that's not an option here. Online is more timely anyway, at most 24
hours behind screening in Thailand. It's also free. ;-)
