Maybe it is time to upgrade your ancient old PC to something faster that 
has a lot more processing power.

If you do have a newer PC , then your problem could be with your DNS 
lookups  , try using some other DNS like googles of 8.8.8.8 and if that 
doesn't work , then lower the MTU on your modem from 1492 down to 1464
