Reminds me of a little joke we used to play on people in the days of 
dos. You could always call a batch file from autoexec.bat so I devised 
this cunningly crafted file that mimicked the Format c: /s and asked if 
you would like to continue. There was only a Yes option offered so even 
if you pressed no, off would run this batch file and echo ..... to the 
screen similar to how the format command used to. We had an older boss 
who was a bit challenged in using his computer and so one morning I was 
in before him and put this batch file on his computer with the 
appropriate call from the autoexec.bat. I was known as the guru of 
computers even back then and in he comes and up comes this Format C 
would you like to continue with only the yes option. He presses N and 
his screen starts filling with dots just like it was formatting. 
Needless to say there was a roar and into his office I went. I told him 
to go make himself a coffee whilst I performed my black magic and would 
try to recover his system which was probably completely lost now that 
the disk was being formatted. Off he went, a quick ctrl c, and a delete 
of the batch file and take out the commands in the autoexec.bat. In he 
comes with his coffee and tells me how important it is he recovers all 
these files and I say well you better hope what I have just done works 
then, and rebooted his machine. Needless to say it comes up perfect and 
his gratitude is great. I was in his good books for weeks until some 
bastard told him what I had done and once again I was summonsed to his 
office for shall we say a severe dressing down. It was bloody funny 
though at the time..
