For some reason there was some glitch that the supervisor had to fix and she noticed that there were just noodles in a big list on the screen, and none of the other stuff, and called the cops. In one of the chinese language newspapers apparently. Coles stupidly doesn't weigh stuff anymore apart from fresh produce. >> Lack of small baskets too, tho one of the locals said >> that they do have empty boxes you can use instead. >> Didn't notice them the last time I was in there and >> didn't have time to hunt for them. But couldn't find them today when I did have time. Presumably he meant he brought it from his car or something. > Once you and the locals get ALDI trained (use the trolley) I don't normally buy enough at a time to warrant a trolley. > and buy your carry bags, I buy the "cooler bags" I just buy that stuff last and drive home straight away. > but not all from ALDI others like Coles WW's are > better quality ALWAYS zip them up and they last > longer if you don't they get torn by the handles. I do have a lot of the non Aldi ones, maybe 10. I hardly ever remember to take one into the supermarket. > Then like everywhere find what comes out of a dogs arse and what > hasn't then you are away. Lately ALDI meat has become gristly? Havent bought anything but chicken so far and it was fine. I normally buy a fucking great uncut slab of steak and cut it up myself and Aldi doesn't sell those. The local Woolys doesn't have them anymore because they don't have a butcher in store anymore in the main one and the other one never did have a butcher. So I am stuck with Coles and the Super IGA and the local independent now. > Get their 4 ply toilet paper 2 piece folded once then > once again worrks, Always have paper torn from > top of roll down, side closest to you (tears better). It'll probably be a year before I need to buy some more. Not thrilled with the Logix dishwasher pellets. First time I left the packet on because it says it auto dissolves. Ended up with what looks like a long strip of what looked like it might be that on one of the beer bottles. Next run I cut if off and ended up with another on another beer bottle, so it cant have been the tablet packet. And a couple of the plates didn't get washed properly this time. Never had that with Finish. Needless to say I have 200 Logix tablets now. I bought a box of one of each type when they first opened and then they had one of their special buys of 100 of the most expensive so bought that too, Going to be years before I use all those unless I get a lot more long necks at the garage sales. One thing they don't have is frozen peas and corn. That's what I normally eat with the potatoes. They do have peas and corn separately and at a better price than the specials of peas and corn mixed in Coles and Woolys so I may mix them myself if I can be arsed for the relatively small saving of say $0.50/KG. The late start is nuisance too, 8:30, All the others open at 7 here and I normally do the supermarket run after the garage sale run and it normally is over well before 8:30, yesterday it was over at 7:30
