select 'windows update' from the 'start' menue click 'show all available
updates' then tick the ones you want to update. simplez! (squeak!) also
change the update setting to 'check for updates but let me decide
whether to download and install them' then no updates will not be
automatically downloaded. all update/download settings can be accessed
from the control panel "windows update' section. just be careful not to
tick the windows 10 update which may be included by default. rest
assured, M$ will try to trick you into installing win10
