What do you mean by that, the wifi dropping out ?

I have had a bit of that myself, fixed by Telstra doing something
back in the exchange. Super slow almost completely unusable
internet which couldn’t even load speedtest.net at all, let alone
actually run the speed test. The line speed as reported by the
modem was fine. For a while browsing was usable with some
site and completely unusable with others. Newsgroups didn’t
work at all, which is why I was missing for over a week.

IMO with FTTN or fixed wireless coming, it makes more sense
to not do anything until you know which you will end up with.
A decent ADSL2+ modem router like the D7 will be completely
wasted if you end up on fixed wireless and may not be the best
value for money with FTTN either.
