Job Description:

This is a contract to hire position.  Perm Salary Range $80k- $95K

Our small egalitarian IT team is looking for a new member that enjoys investigating and solving technology issues. The ideal candidate is proven highly effective in the following skill areas – troubleshooting, communication, documentation, organization and multi-tasking; the candidate must also possess immaculate attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
This senior level position allows for exposure to a vast array of tasks and responsibilities both within the Corporate Treasury department and the overarching corporate structure. This position plays a primary role in planning, designing, implementing and supporting of Derivatives CVA application for the bank. This is a multi-million dollar project that will span for several years. We are looking for a strong candidate who can take on the challenges and responsibilities to design and implement a business critical application. You’ll have continuous opportunities to grow your technical and business knowledge.  

Duties & Responsibilities
•	Manages installation, configuration, tuning, and stabilization of new and existing applications. 
•	Manages upgrades of existing application ensuring minimum impact and downtime to business.
•	Partners with internal infrastructure teams and vendors to provide recommendations for hardware and system architecture and design. 
•	Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
•	Performs monitoring of production environments to ensure optimization of each supported system. 
•	Administration of user access and permissions.
•	Analyze, diagnose, and resolve IT incidents in collaboration with application developers, vendors, and internal infrastructure team. 
•	Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
•	Review deployment instructions, scripts and code to ensure adherence to standards.
•	Create and maintain up-to-date technical/process documentation.
•	Participate in quarterly disaster recovery planning. 

Qualifications
•	Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience
•	Experience in overseeing the planning, design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products 
•	Experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices. 
•	Leading application upgrades and other technical projects
•	Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with various levels of management
•	Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills along with the ability to learn quickly and work closely with other team members
•	Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
•	 5 years of experience implementing systems and applications.

•	Windows 20XX servers
•	Microsoft SQL Servers 2012/2008 relational database
•	Microsoft SQL OLAP database
•	Windows 7 
•	MQ
•	Team Foundation Server (TFS)
•	AutoSys
•	Experience with the following application is a plus: Numerix, Calypso, Bloomberg
•	Solid understanding of: Hardware infrastructure, System software infrastructure, Computer operations, Release management
