The Whois internet service is apparently being replaced with RDAP. But when you try it in Konsole you get .... > rdap mageia.org bash: rdap: command not found There is no package called "rdap" in Mageia 9, x86_64. This notice when you run a Whois .. **NOTICE** This WHOIS server is being retired. Please use our RDAP service instead.

OpenRDAP is written in Go; there is a rdap for Arch in the AUR. It seems to me that the conventional linux repo/s are 'backward' in this regard. rdap has been around a very long time. -- Mike Easter
