I hadn't thought of them, but those tails sound familiar, so likely we 
ended up with one at some point.

We went across the US, more or less, in 1964 or maybe the summer before, 
and I remember endless gas station brands.  Lots of regional too.  And 
then over the decades, they've all been bought up, so most are gone, and 
gas is mostly just gas, not marketing.
